About Us

We are XOXO & Co. A spark that was ignited by a common dream, an idea was born to collaborate in the various fields of expertise that each of us specialise in. Based in Singapore, this is mainly a creative collaboration between siblings, Farrah and Ferooze. An all-encompassing team composed of an event stylist, designer and chef, we pursue three main directions – Creative Direction, Art Direction and Food Direction.

With the intention to share and let others experience the joy of having every detail of an event hand-picked and beautifully crafted from scratch, we hope to make every event a unique visual and gastronomical feast.

We understand that no two events are the same. Every happy moment in life is a cause for celebration. Our goal is to create work that makes our clients feel proud and to end every triumphant event with hugs and kisses.

Happy 30th Birthday Apple Macintosh! 30 years ago on this day, Apple launched its first original Mac. And here’s looking back at the past 30 years with a stunning interactive website and a video highlighting how far it has come. Apple is the epitome of function-determining-form minimalist approach, with its sleek, minimalist design. As they say, once you go Mac, there’s no turning back. I will always be an Apple fan boy. Till this very day, I still draw huge inspirations in terms of creative thinking and design in my advertising work as an art director. And here’s to another 30 years and more!

Pardon for the long hiatus on our website. It might have seem that this website is collecting dust but we’re actually updating regularly on our Facebook page. It’s been more than a year since XOXO & Co. was founded and indeed we’ve come a long way. Our business has expanded and we’re currently taking a break and moving into our new warehouse/studio. We won’t be taking any orders with effect from today and operations will only resume in January 2013. Thank you for your endearing support and we hope to hear from you again next year!

Happy Eid ul-Fitr to all our dear Muslims! May Allah fill your heart with abundant happiness, your home with warmth and your life with the brightest of blessings today and always! We’ve been on a slight hiatus with all the preparation and visiting for Eid ul-Fitr and today marks the 13 of Syawal which means we technically have 17 more days left and we are also celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival (also known as the Mooncake or Latern Festival) on the 12 of September here in Singapore. So bring on the festive mood and abundant food! (and detox right after perhaps). On a side note, we’re engaged to work on a 1st Birthday Party on Children’s Day and the theme is Princess! How lovely!

Heaps of love from all of us at XOXO & Co.

It’s never too late to wish all our dear Muslims since it’s only been the first week into the fasting month of Ramadan. It’s the holy month of utmost devotion, obedience, sacrifice, patience, compassion, mercy, forgiveness, gratitude, courage and faith. May the spirit of Ramadan be with you always. Here’s wishing all our dear Muslims a happy and blessed Ramadan!

Heaps of love from all of us at XOXO & Co.

As promised, may I present to you XOXO & Co. signature macarons. We will be officially announcing the day when we can take in orders very soon!

I am embarking to develop with Farrah, the Event Stylist our own line of French macarons that we will be offering soon as party or wedding favors. Firstly, it is critical that we develop a concrete recipe so that our production can operate smoothly when we do receive orders.  At this current moment, we are pitting the Italian meringue recipe against the classic French macaron recipe, trying to see which one will turn out tasting and looking more superior. Many have expressed that the Italian meringue recipe is a much more forgiving recipe so we shall see whether there is any truth in this statement. Although macarons are notoriously known to be one of the most temperamental delectable, perfecting the recipe for its basic shell is not an impossibility.  We have already compiled a menu of the different types of delicious flavours and fillings that we have been experimenting with for the past few months. Now it is really just a matter of time before we start to put two and two together and get the perfect macaron out there in the market for your gastronomical pleasure. I will start publishing the photographs once we have put everything together. For now, look out for the next post for our signature macarons menu!

Aren’t these Viewmaster Invitations by Mélangerie Inc. just absolutely amazing?! It may be on the high side in terms of the cost but I definitely wouldn’t mind spending a little more to make my special day extra special and truly memorable. Each boxed invitation features a nostalgic Viewmaster with your very own custom photo reel as well as an insert card for additional information. A truly innovative idea indeed!

The event went well today despite minor hiccups here and there but everyone was extremely pleased with the table set up. Here’s a few pictures to sum it all up. We will be uploading more pictures soon on our Facebook page. We definitely had a great time today! And it’s definitely still not too late to say Happy Racial Harmony Day everyone! Put on those orange ribbons!

Gold-plated Indian ware will be used to serve Indian desserts and flat breads.

The gold-plated Malay 'tepak sirih' was lovely even before we added in its main components such as the betel leaf, gambier, tobacco, betel nut and camphor.

The spices will be arranged and labeled in these wooden spoons.

Check out the hand-sewn mini gunnysacks in the photograph. Aren’t they the cutest little things?

For now, these artifical leaves shall suffice in place of the actual banana leaves we will use on the actual day.

The blue and white Chinese porcelain ware will serve traditional Chinese desserts like 'Tang Yuan' and 'Bak Chang'. The authentic gold-plated Indian tea-light holders comes in various shapes and sizes.

We are pretty set with what we want by now. These are the latest photographs showing the latest progress we have. The dark blue sari and batik instantly modify the overall look of the table for the better. I need to figure out a smart way to display the spices though.

XOXO,
Farrah – The Event Stylist
